README: 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka Earthquake Datasets=================================== This directory contains geodetic and seismological datasets used in the analysis of the 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka earthquake. The files are organized by data type and purpose, as detailed below. ------------------------------------------------------------1. Coseismic 3D Deformation------------------------------------------------------------Folder: 3D_deformation/- E.grd : East-West deformation- N.grd : North-South deformation- U.grd : Up-Down deformation ------------------------------------------------------------2. Back Projection------------------------------------------------------------Folder: Back_Projection/High-frequency(0.5-2 Hz) and low-frequency (0.2-0.5 Hz) teleseismic back-projection results used to resolve the rupture propagation and energy radiation. All results are from Australian stations (stations in Australis) - /HF_radiator/*.txt : High-Frequency Back-projection radiators for the earthquake sequence- /HF_radiation_energy/*.grd : High-Frequency Back-projection radiated energy for the earthquake sequence- /LF_radiator/*.txt : Low-Frequency Back-projection radiators for the Mw 8.8 event (20250729)- /LF_radiation_energy/*.grd : Low-Frequency Back-projection radiated energy for the the Mw 8.8 (20250729) and Mw 7.8 (20250918) events ------------------------------------------------------------3. Finite Fault Model------------------------------------------------------------Folder: Finite_fault/Slip distribution and geometry from joint inversion of geodetic and seismic data. - Kinematic_slip_M88.inv : Text file containing the finite-fault model parameters (id,lon,lat,depth,strike,dip,rise,dura,ss-slip,ds-slip,ss_len,ds_len,rupt_time,rigidity)- Geodetic_slip_M78.txt : Text file containing the geodetic slip model (pure thrust) for the Mw7.8 aftershock (gmt plot file)- Geodetic_slip_M74.txt : Text file containing the geodetic slip model (pure thrust) for the Mw7.4 aftershock (gmt plot file) Notes------------------------------------------------------------- All text files (.txt) are tab- or space-delimited ASCII files with georeferenced coordinates in longitude, latitude, displacement (m) or equivalent columns.- .grd files follow the GMT/netCDF format.- These datasets support analyses of rupture kinematics, seismic patch distribution, and aftershock slip distribution for the 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka earthquake.
