Theoretical treatment of forbidden hyper-Raman scattering by LO phonons in a CdS crystal

Resonant hyper-Raman scattering induced by the q-dependent Fröhlich interaction in a wurtzite CdS crystal istheoretically studied, taking into account the possible dipole transitions to the deeper valence band. The scattering processes involving two-photon transitions to s- and d-excitons belonging to the B and C series are considered.
