Beyond Symptom Reduction: A Qualitative Study of Refugees' Experiences of a Trauma‐Informed Community‐Based Pain Management Program

This study offers novel insights into how refugees experienced a pain management program. By demonstrating how elements such as exercise, social connection, cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed approaches fostered engagement and reshaped participants' understanding and management of pain, it meaningfully informs a neglected area of pain research. The findings identify practical and methodological considerations for designing and delivering tailored group-based pain programs for refugees, offering evidence to inform more equitable, responsive and culturally safe pain care.
