Metadata and Data Services Activities and Functions - MaDSAF

This working paper briefly defines a list of metadata and data services’ activities and functions (MaDSAF) derived from an analysis of the common features between relevant current standards. The headings are divided into four groups: digital object management, organisational infrastructure, technology and security. MaDSAF major version numbers will not increment unless the body of the Activities Functions List (label and descriptions) change, or are added or removed. Other changes will be reflected with a minor version increment. The second version of the MaDSAF incorporates and acknowledges the revisions derived from project activity and associated public consultation through the FIDELIS project. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15676188.
