The impact of CEO sports hobby on corporate digital transformation: a comprehensive analysis based on Python text crawling method

The impact of CEO sports hobby on corporate digital transformation is examined in this article using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies between 2011 and 2020. The results show that CEO sports hobby aids in the advancement of corporate digital transformation. The aforementioned conclusions remain valid following the robustness test. According to heterogeneity analyses, non-state-owned businesses are more likely to benefit from the enabling role of CEO sports hobby in corporate digital transformation. In addition to offering empirical support for businesses to follow the digital development trend and quicken the digital transformation process, the findings enhance the upper echelons and related research on the factors that influence enterprise digital transformation.
