Application of the classification approach in the development of propeller steamers for semi-liquid feed mixtures

The article is devoted to the development and research of a horizontal steamer mixer for the preparation of semi-liquid feed mixtures, equipped with an eccentrically mounted propeller working body. Unlike traditional designs with a central vertical shaft, the proposed solution allows not only efficient mixing and steaming of the feed mass, but also using the pumping effect of the propeller to unload the finished product and transport it through pipelines. To systematize knowledge and identify promising areas in the field of heat treatment of feed, the authors proposed an original classification scheme of the corresponding devices. The purpose of the conducted research was to increase the efficiency and productivity of the process of preparing feed mixtures while reducing energy consumption.
