This deliverable aims to propose an online system for publishing archives and a system for annotating digital information sources in unstructured language, starting from procedures for handling archaeological, epigraphic, and textual data. It is clear, in light of the objectives of ITSERR and RESILIENCE, that publication must meet the requirements set out by the FAIR recommendations on the one hand, and the research needs of scholars who require the ability to carry out cross-domain searches on the other. The following sections show how data — manuscripts and material objects — can be processed, described, and annotated using local/national metadata and ultimately published on the Web.Section 2 illustrates the procedures for the transcription, metadata description, publication, and annotation of a manuscript in the Gəʿəz language, held at the Museo di San Domenico in Imola. Section 3 examines the design of a system for the online visualisation of 3D replicas of a number of bowls belonging to a collection of Islamic artefacts housed at the Museo Umberto Scerrato of the University of Naples L'Orientale. The conclusions (Section 4) will highlight how the process of mapping resources onto the Dublin Core schema makes it possible — even if not always entirely satisfactorily — to integrate resources while at the same time exploiting the effectiveness of the OAI-PMH protocol (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) for data aggregation. Some aspects examined in WP10 have not always found fully adequate or effective solutions, but the guidelines identified can constitute an important starting point for developing more robust solutions for the integration of heterogeneous sources.
