The Relationship Between Transformational Leadership and Nurses’ Performance: A Saudi Arabian Perspective

The purpose of this study was to investigate how nurses' performance in healthcare organizations in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia was affected by transformational leadership style and its attributes. A total of 370 nurses employed in various public and private healthcare institutions participated in this study. They were selected using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. Descriptive and inferential statistics were applied to the data analysis in SPSS. Cronbach's alpha was reported for reliability. Study results show that all the scales employed in this investigation were confirmed to be reliable. Further analysis reveals a positive and significant correlation between performance, idealized influence behavior (IIB), idealized influence attribute (IIA), and inspirational motivation (IM). To make their subordinates feel appreciated as valued members and feel happy to be a part of their healthcareorganization, leaders must be able to listen to their issues and assist them in finding viable solutions.
