It has been a while since the Israel, US - Iran war started and has been continuing for more than a month, yet there have been no great results. There has been a loss on both sides, and this has become a global problem due to economic turmoil and shortages of essential commodities such as gas and petrol. This has also led to the shutdown of work in the various regions of the world. The fall in the global stock market is expected and a loss to the investors. In the global economic circle, major events are interconnected. Day-to-day life costs increase significantly. The war cannot be attributed to any religious background, as the God involved theologically is the same for all three Semitic religious groups involved in the war. Since the damage to both sides is heavy and it is difficult to quantify the losses by mortality, materials and psychological trauma objectively, it is not feasible. However, a pragmatic view shows significant casualties on both sides. The United Nations (UN) has so far been very passive, and there could be political reasons for this inability or silence, as the conflict has turned violent and, at the moment, an immediate end cannot be visualised. The Ukraine-Russia conflict has been continuing for more than 4 years without a diplomatic solution. It is also very interesting to look into the former UN secretary general’s hilarious comment to the BBC at retirement, in an interview ‘The Lord had the wonderful advantage of being able to work alone’. In the future, artificial intelligence (AI) agents can be trained to assess conflict situations and raise a red flag or an end signal when a conflict goes out of control. Human beings tend to be biased wherever they are in the world, a fact consistently observed by eminent psychologists such as Robert Geene and Kevin Dutton, with children being the only exception. Negative emotions like psychological inner humour, reserve psychology, side angle thinking, etc., are common innate primal survival psychology existing in every human being in various degrees or skew, which are magnified in situations of war. Escalation of the conflict could lead to an endless war, casualties and economic losses all over the world, and a true victory can never be achieved by a force. An overwhelming force can only temporarily suspend a war. This will lead to perpetual enmity spanning over the generations. The ego aspects need to be considered, as every human being has their own ego boundaries. During the height of a conflict escalation, it is difficult to think very rationally because ego boundaries are constantly being touched or violated. Hence, it is difficult to decide to stop the war during active combat, especially when many minds are at work influencing the decision. Hence, a ‘Hail Mary pass or decision’ could be an abrupt unconditional end of this conflict on both sides, with funding and rehabilitation from neighbouring or their own friendly countries. One person who can make this decision could be the US president, Mr Donald Trump, which will be historic and, from the above hint or advice of Kofi Annan, a unilateral dignified decision to abruptly stop the war, at least for a few years and initiate diplomacy and advocacy at the earliest possible time to prevent losses on both sides. This pivotal decision in the current scenario could mean achieving more than many Nobel prizes could. Since the UN has been very passive, politically neutral countries, big or small, such as the Scandinavian countries, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, etc., can form a forum, initiate discussions on both sides, and resolve the issue amicably. ‘Stop and Discuss’ or ‘Close and Discuss’ should be the immediate plan, and goodness exists in every individual or country. A timely decision would benefit many future generations, and a redundancy could be a catastrophe to the world.
