Communal harmony surrounding mob lynchings is explored, shedding light on the intent and characteristics of this illegal activity tolerated in public, private, and government domains. The study draws attention to the trauma and phobias experienced by survivors or victims, hindering their public appearance. In the context of the Pakistani Constitution's Article 19(1)(a), guaranteeing freedom of speech, the research emphasizes that it does not endorse or permit illegal activities such as lynching. Despite this, media involvement poses a challenge, impacting justice administration and potentially leading to miscarriages of justice in future cases. The essay underscores the impact on individuals or groups, making them both victims and accused. Case studies provide insights into the perspectives on mob lynching as a crime against humanity.
