Verification of Tag Rules that Reduce Advantage/Disadvantage due to Foot Speed and Stamina Duration

Tag is a popular outdoor play for children. However, in recent years, indoor games have become the norm due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection and other factors. As a result, children's outdoor play time is decreasing. Outdoor play is recommended for children because it improves their stamina duration and athletic ability and reduces stress. While tag is a popular game among children, it can be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on children's growth, foot speed, and stamina duration. Therefore, it is necessary to develop tag rules that allow all children to play equally. In this study, we consider rules that can reduce the differences in advantage/disadvantage due to foot speed and stamina duration. In this study, stamina duration is defined as how long a player can keep running. We consider rules for the strategy of the chaser and for the replacement of the chaser. Then, we evaluate whether the advantage/disadvantage is smaller by comparing the rules with those of general tag rule. We use multi-agent simulation for verification.
