Hybrid Nanomaterials In the Research Article (e13289), Jacek Tyczkowski and co-workers reveal how nanoscale charge modulation in plasma-deposited CoO/WO3 nanohybrids influences catalytic behaviour in CO2 hydrogenation. By discovering CoO/WO3 heterojunctions at the scale of individual nanoparticles, it presents a physical explanation for the drastic change in CoO's catalytic properties, resulting in the complete loss of its activity toward methane formation. This finding advances the rational design of nanohybrids.
