A Theoretical Novel Design Approach To Enhance The Evaporator Steam Economy Of Large Scale Sugar Industries In Ethiopia

This research focuses on improving steam economy in large-scale sugar industries by replacing conventional rising film evaporators with a radial flow multi-effect evaporator. The study demonstrates a reduction in steam consumption from 36.34% to 33.77% on cane for a 4000 TCD plant. This design enhances thermal efficiency and reduces energy losses in sugar processing industries.
