Frame buildings slab foundations calculation based on settling limiting difference

The present research objective is to derive a standardized residential building design with a reinforced concrete frame. This objective is achieved by unifying the design solutions of load-bearing structures and foundations erected in various climatic and soil conditions. For accounting the response of the foundation to the aboveground structures and the building foundations and their stress-strain state estimation, it is proposed to divide the facility design into three stages. At the first stage, the building frame is unified; stiffness characteristics and the elements reinforcement are determined, satisfying maximum possible uneven difference in settling allowed by the building regulations. The resulting solution is subsequently applied in various types of soil conditions and becomes a re-application project, i.e. a standard project. The second stage evaluates load-bearing capacity of a typical building in the specific construction site conditions. The economic effect is achieved by reducing the labour intensity and design time of the frame and foundations load-bearing structures due to the unified design solutions.
