The Study of Phonetic Features, Sound Symbolism, and Iconism in the Context of Kazakh and Chinese Languages

This scientific article comprehensively examines the phonetic features, sound symbolism, and iconism in the Kazakh and Chinese languages. The study focuses on onomatopoeic words that imitate the natural sounds of objects. To investigate the phonetic characteristics of these words, the authors employ comparative and descriptive methods. Their aim is to identify patterns and similarities in sound structure and semantic associations. The article considers cultural and linguistic factors that influence sound symbolism and iconism through interlingual comparison. Examples of onomatopoeic words in both languages are presented, and their phonetic features, as well as the significance of sound symbolism and iconism in understanding sound effects and situations, are discussed. It is shown that onomatopoeic words play a significant role in linguistic expression and help people better understand sound effects and situations. The authors suggest that further research and analysis in this area will enhance understanding of the interactions between language, sound, and meaning, as well as how linguistic systems perceive and represent the world. This study contributes significantly to the field by revealing the complex associations between sounds and meanings in the Kazakh and Chinese languages.
