KNOWLEDGE AND UTILISATION OF AYUSH SYSTEM OF MEDICINE IN INDIA: AN ANALYSIS

This paper reviewed and evaluated NSSO data on Ayush: 2022-23, NSS 79th round, 2023 July, 2022 – June, 2023. It analysed the level of awareness and usage of Ayush. The outcomes revealed a significant level of awareness among the surveyed population, with notable differences between rural and urban regions, and indicate that a substantial portion of individuals have been treated with Ayush for their health-related issues in the past year. The data also revealed levels of knowledge about traditional medicinal plants, expenditure patterns, and preferences for these traditional systems among the population.
