Climate Change, Flooding, and Poverty in Coastal Communities

This study examines transnational cybercrime in Nigeria, understood as criminal activity that crosses borders through digital networks. The research addresses the problem of rising cyber-enabled offences that harm Nigeria's global reputation, reduce foreign investment confidence, and expose institutional weaknesses. Using a qualitative methodology based on documentary analysis and expert insights, the study explores historical patterns, institutional responses, and international cooperation. The findings show that cybercrime has become more sophisticated, that Nigerian law enforcement struggles with limited capacity, and that global partnerships remain inconsistent despite their importance. The study recommends strengthening institutional coordination and technical skills to improve Nigeria's response to evolving cyber threats.
