AGRICULTURE, PHOTOSYNTHESIS, DÉSERTIFICATION: THE ESSENCE OF THE PROBLEM

The article, based on an analysis of events related to agriculture, shows that land degradation and a crisis in food production are due to a problem that arose at the intersection of plant nutrition research and practice. This is explained by the inconsistency of the interpretations of the results of the experiment of the essence of the processes occurring in the objects of the experiment. This led to the formation of erroneous positions in the theory and practice of plant nutrition. As a result, the actions of personnel in the field of science, management and food production, educated on the erroneous provisions of the theory, lead to errors in the practice of the application of these provisions. As a result, land and economy are degraded, a problem arises that cannot be solved within the framework of an erroneous theory.
